We got Hitched!

Waiting to enter the church, knowing it was packed to the brim with friends and family, was probably the scariest moment of the whole day....

Deep breath...

But knowing my boy, soon to be my husband was waiting for me at the end of the long aisle, I felt  a whole better and the fear left my body. I could feel tears pricking at my eyes and my mouth wobbling. Suck it up! I thought. S M I L E

Scott was less anxious, having been hanging around for a wee while

In fact the ceremony was one of the best bits of the whole day. It goes so quickly, and you are so full of excitement, nerves and adrenaline that it flies by you, twisting you round like a tornado. Your feet don't fully touch the ground until the end of the day, and then you can't really feel them, because your legs have turned to jelly, and your face aches from smiling, and you are just so pooped. And now you'd like me to what!?

Happy happy!!

And so on to the celebrations...as I mentioned the sun did come out and she was beautiful throughout the afternoon. Champagne was drank, and canapes munched, although I think I ate about one - there wasn't time and my mouth was busy talking to one hundred and thirty people! Thank yous and grinning and chatting and being chased for photographs, then suddenly it was time to sit down for lunch and I was beginning to regret my decision to make a speech.

Dad was bloody funny actually, especially his joke about cock(erel)s! And he was charming and
said some lovely things about me, which nearly made me cry. Go Dad!

And my new husband made his Dad cry and me grin.

My speech wasn't too bad either apparently, I made references to all that I care about and miss - my uncle Johnny, the delectable Smudger Finer and our beloved Cocker spaniel Oliver. And the ones that are still here.

I did manage to chat to a few fine friends...

Then we danced to the The Reverend Al Green

Love and Happiness

Love and happiness...
something that can make you do wrong, make you do right...
Love...

happiness is when you really feel good with somebody
nothing wrong with being in one with someone
oh, baby, love and happiness
love and happiness...
love and happiness...

Make you do right... love'll make you do wrong...
make you come home early...
make you stay out all night long...
the power of love...

wait a minute,
let me tell you...
the power of love...
make you do right... love'll make you do wrong...
make you want to dance...
love and happiness...
love and happiness...

After posing for what seemed like an eternity (though of course very happy looking through the pics time and time again) we ran away from Malou, literally, but she thought it was a great photo opportunity
